Back in Buffalo

Ashlee and I got in around 10-10:30ish last night and while she unpacked I played on my computer (I've never been happier to see it). At about 11 pm we decided a trip to Pano's was in order since the entire six hours we were on the train I kept repeating "I want bacon". So I got my bacon and eggs and homefries and it was amazing.
Classes started again today. They were all fairly boring. For dinner we had to eat social hall food and my digestive system is still kicking my butt becasue of it. I then had to shower in the ring-worm infested shower...but it's okay becasue I missed my bed here. It may be small, but it's nice and comfy and warm, and it has all of my pillows. Raisa got back around 5 tonight and I wasn't as disappointed to see her as I thought I would be.
While I was home I talked to my friend Jen who goes to Oneonta and we're going to figure out a weekend when I can go for a visit. Char might come visit with me becasue she's starting to look around a little more. She really likes Brockport but I convinced her to take another look at Oneonta :-) Hmm...I think that's all I really have to talk about. What an interesting life I lead. lol. There really wasn't a point to this post, I'm just bored and I figured I could post something because writing is fun and I love it. (Don't worry Nik, when I get time I'll write something worth reading lol)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Right now I'm at Noelle's, so since she has internet that is not dial-up I figured I'd write a new blog just because. So here goes.
I brought Char back to Chittenango on tuesday, met her parents and stayed the night. It was fun. I saw the yellow brick road and we took some random pictures with all of the random Oz places (Auntie Em's Diner, Oz Cream, etc.) The drive wasn't too bad, it was actually a lot better than I expected.
Today, obviously, is Thanksgiving so we all went to Mary's for dinner and dessert (ther first round anyway) and we goofed around and told heartwarming stories of our childhood, you know, drowning, beating each other. The usual. lol Then we all went our separate ways and I ended up at my friend Arin's house where I had round two of dessert and we all played two rounds of Scene It and a very very very long game of Encore. Noelle, Arin, Arin's two sisters and I were the only kids there for a while, but Em, Kristin, and Amanda showed up eventually. Even though we were hanging out with the 'rents the whole time, it was so much fun!!! So now I'm at Noelle's aka my other home and we had another turkey dinner at like 11pm lol. Today has been so much fun and I can't wait until tomorrow! "The Five" (a close group of us) are finally going to hang out. We're going to Krista's for the best pizza and cookies in the world and then we're going to see RENT!! I've already seen it and it is absolutely AMAZING...except for the whole Ne Mexico thing...but w/e it was awesome and I'll definately pay another $10 to see it!!!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Goodnight ♥

HOME!

Char, Ashlee, and I left Buff State around 5:45 on Saturday morning and got on our train at about 6:30. 7 hours later we were in Albany (an hour and a half behind schedule, but still here). We slept the whole way so it wasn't that bad. Mary met us at the train station with Cole and she was shocked that I was actually bringing someone to Dad's house. We didn't stay there long though. I took a shower and then we met Jon, Q, and Nikki at the mall and we goofed off for a while before going to APHS for "Dracula". The show was...well...it wasn't what the plays were when we were there, let's just say that. There were definately too many freshman who had no idea what they were doing. I met this freshman that everyone says looks like me. There was a slight resemblance, but she was not my twin. She was also a little b*tch. Oh well. I got to see Keebs, Mufasa, Z, and a bunch of other people. Leslie and Stan (Noelle's parents) and Eileen and Bob (Krista's Parents) were there. Along with the Starzyks and some other randoms. After the show Char and I headed over to Ryan's for a small party. We had a good time, to say the least. We ended up staying there until this morning, when I was supposed to bring Austin to school. Unfortunately my alarm didn't go off, so I woke up and had 20 minutes to get from Menands to AP. I got to Sara's and they had already left so I went over to his school and told him how sorry I was and that I'd make it up to him. So over Christmas break we're going to spend a couple days together doing whatever he wants to do becasue I feel terrible. So now Char and I are up at Mom's and we have a fun drive to Syracuse tomorrow. I'm staying there for the night and coming back on Wednesday afternoon. Hopefully there won't be too much snow becasue I don't have snow tires on my car yet and Dad doesn't know I'm driving her home. So we're going to keep that pur little secret lol.

I'll try to update at some point but since I'm all over the place this week and I don't have the internet at Dad's I'm not sure when I'll be able to write again. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Yes, I'm a Loser

After sitting at the backdoor with no entertainment other than my sociology and English homework for five hours tonight (I'll explain it, don't worry), I got a most welcome phone call from Emily saying that a bunch of the NU crew was at the movie theatre just up the street from here. So Matt came to get Ashlee and I and we met up with everyone to see the midnight premier of the new Harry Potter movie ♥ (you can laugh at me, I do it all the time).

First things first...the door thing. Well there is this rule here saying that if you lock your keys in your room and have to be let in by an RA three times, then you have to do 5 hours of community service. Well I got a letter the other day saying that I had three lockouts. I was infuriated because two of the three times it was not my fault. The first time, however was my fault, I left my keys in the room when I went away for a weekend. The other two were Raisa's fault. The first time we were in here and I got up and went to the bathroom and came back and the door was locked. Who brings their keys to the bathroom?? So that was the first time she locked me out. The second time, I was here cleaning up the room and she was no where to be seen, but earlier in hte day she told me not to lock the door since she didn't have her keys, so I left it open. I went downstairs for maybe 10 minutes got my laundry and folded it and came back to a locked room. I was pissed. So that's why I had to sit at the backdoor for 5 hours tonight. Then, after I finished my time Raisa had the nerve to crack jokes about how it was her fault and she was lauging in my face. SO, trying to keep my temper in line, I said in a not so friendly way that if she continued to talk I would break her already busted face. She shutup realy quick after that. If it wasn't for Ashlee I wouldn't have made it through my 5 hours. She brought me dinner and freeze pops and water and kept me company (illegally) for a while. Josh, the RA was also really nice about it. We aren't allowed to have our phones while serving so he took mine and I guess at some point my friend Josh called so he opened it and it said 'Josh work' and he asked if I was trying to tell him something lol. It was fun...but you probably had to be there. He also drooled over my amazing computer for a while too haha.

As for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, it is a must see if you are a Potter fan! It was amazing! By far the best in the series thus far!!! Two thumbs way way up. I laughed, I cried, I booed, I cheered. Everything! Ah...just amazing!

Well I'm off to bed since it's almost 4 am and I have class at 10 and a test at 12. Goodnight ♥

What's not to love?? Tuesdays and Thursdays might be a little rough because I don't get much of a break, but I made it through high school with no breaks so oh well. Not to mention I got from 9 - 2 MWF this semester (4 classes in one day was a bad idea). Oh well, I can't wait to start my new classes! :-) Wow I sound like such a loser lol. Oh well, what can I say? I like school. I'm off to hot pakcmy aching muscles and possibly take a nap before doing about 10 loads of laundry and throughouly cleaning my side of the room.

A New Ouch

Yesterday I was in hte union and I saw a sign that said that cheerleading tryouts were this week. Since I had nothing better to do for those two hours I decided to go. Bad idea. My should/neck was feeling a lot better so I though I'd be fine. That muscle is fine...but my legs, my butt, and my lower back are killing me lol. I'm so out of shape it's pathetic. I will not be going back to cheerleading any time soon. I forgot how much I don't miss it. From now on I'm all about theatre!!! If I ever do something like that again, someone please slap me and throw me back onstage!

My second class was cancelled today so I have to catch up on some reading before my third class. My fourth was also cancelled...I love today. Except for the monsoon...but oh well

OUCH

I've had this really bad pain in my neck and upper back since thursday morning and since then it's only gotten worse. I can't turn my head very far or look down without a pain shooting up my right shoulder and neck. All of this has also been accompanied by a headache that hasn't gone away. So I finally decided to to to Weigel Health Center today to ask someone what's wrong with me. Nancy, who I might add is extrememly nice (and smells good too lol) told me that from what I told her it sounds like I strained my trapezoid muscle. She also said that this is one of the biggest muscles in the body and one of the most painful to injure. Leave it to me to pull something like that. Basically this muscle goes from your neck down to about the middle of your back and out to the "knobby thing on your shoulder" as Nancy put it. There are two..I strained the right one. So she gave me lots of ibuprofen and some hot packs and told me to stretch it. I'm also planning on going to some drugstore and getting one of those heat packs that you put in the microwave, they have that beany stuff in them. Basically they're amazing and I need one ♥.

I Hate Being Sick

I woke up this morning with a pounding headache and my stomach feeling like it was being ripped out of my body. I really hate being sick. It doesn't happen very often but when it does it's usually pretty bad. I've been in bed just about all day. I took about half a bottle of Tums and Ibuprofen but neither have helped. I can't decide if I'm hot or cold. I'm hungry but afraid to eat...I want to be home in my own bed. My bed here is way too small. I hate twin beds. bleh.

The Good Stuff:
I called Sara so she's picking my up at the station this saturday. I can't wait. This time next week I'll be home - eating real food, sleeping in a big kid bed, hanging out with friends, DRIVING...I just have to get through the next 5 ½ days. I also was finally able to get a train ticket back to Buffalo. When I bought the one to go home, the return train was sold out. So Ash and I got them finally :-)

I'm going to go pass out for a while...then it's time for homework ugh

The Beginning of a Long Weekend

Yesterday I got really bored so I called Ashlee so we could find something to do, so she came down, and as usual, I cleaned my room because she was here (don't ask). Then we thought "hey let's go get icecaps (iced cappuccino) and take a walk. So there we were, two morons walking around campus in winter coats and scarves, freezing our butts of...and drinking icecaps. We're geniuses I tell you. So after getting thouroughly frozen we came back to my room and decided to have a movie night, but then Jake called and ivited us to the opening of the art gallery in Rockwell Hall, so we went. It was neat, I haven't gone to an art gallery in a long time. There were some...interesting pieces, but overall it was a good time. Then the three of us sat in Ashlee's room for a while becasue we had time to kill before going to see the movie "Jarhead". I don't know what to say about that movie, everyone I've talked to about it has had a completely different opinion of it. Ryan and Jake hated, but for different reasons. Jake said it glorified the military (he's one of them :-/). Ryan said it made it look like our troops were doing nothing over there but sitting around and looking at a bunch of sand, when in fact that's not the case at all (and I agree with him on that one). I don't know what to think, it just depressed me to think about what's going on over there...
But ANYWAY...on a happier note, my friend Nikki has a new blog because I made her get one and after two days of having it, she's hooked :-) hehehe
Tonight is the midnight showing of "The Rocky Horror Show" here on campus and Ashlee and I are going to it :-D it's going to be great becasue this is the one all the fans are going to be at so it'll be intense (I hope). Raisa is also leaving tonight, so I'll get to have my own room all weekend...oh to have privacy again...lol. Amanda Vollor is visiting NU this weekend, so I'm hoping that I might get to go there and see her while she's here, but who knows. Well that's all for now. ♥

Option #3

So as of right now I really really like Wells College. It's not a part of the SUNY system and it's a little more expensive, but not much. It's about $20,00 a year, which really isn't bad at all for a private school. It's pretty small, but the student teacher ratio is 8:1 and I like that. From the pictures they have up the campus is gorgeous. Since it's such a small school I'm a little worried about applying just in case I don't do so well this year. Oh and anotehr thing I'm a little iffy on is that it's an all girls school. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but that much estrogen in one place might get to be a little much. I already requested more info from them and I really really want to visit soon! As for location, it's in Auroa and apparently I guess it's close to Cornell and Ithaca becasue it has a program where you can take classes at either of those schools. I've been to Ithaca and it's not far at all and the area around it was really nice. I think it was about an hour and a half maybe two hour drive, but I went about two years ago so I really don't remember. Anyway I really like this school :-D so we'll see...

Revision: It's approximately 3 hours and 48 minutes away. Not horrible, but still a long drive.

Option #2

Second on this list is SUNY Plattsburgh (Mar maybe you can help me with this one a little ;-) They also have a strong English program and their theatre department seems pretty good too. I know it's not too far from home and I kind of like the fact that I don't know anyone who goes there. At least I don't think I do. It looks like it's a pretty big school, but I'm sure I can deal with that. I'm going to have to plan yet another road trip to visit this one too. I know it's impossible to get all the info online so I'm going to have them mail me some info and the campus visits will help. I guess that's it on this one.

Oh and as a bonus the laundry is free and there are phones in the rooms :-)

Drive time: 3 hours 2 minutes

Option #1

I've been looking at colleges lately (obviously) and I decided to take another look at SUNY Oneonta. I applied there last year but turned them down to come to Buff State instead. They have one of the biggest English departments in the system and their theatre program is also pretty good. I already know a few people who go there so that's an added bonus, not to mention Sara will be about 20 minutes away and will save me whenever I need it. It's also only about 2 hours from home and Sara and Paul would drive me back whenever they go back so this one might work out very nicely. Oh and the fact that I can take a real shower at Sara's might be nice too...and real food lol. I'm going to talk to Jen and Jen, who go there and ask if I can visit for a weekend or something. Probably not until after the Christmas break though, just becasue the next few weeks are going to be hectic enough!

This is in no way a final decision and I plan on looking at other colleges. Just figured I'd give an update on the situation.
