Stayin' Awake
It's nearly 3:30am and although I should be sleeping I am wide awake. I sat down to write a paper around 6pm, well I laid on my bed with my computer and attempted to write a paper. I had barely opened Microsoft Word by the time I fell asleep. I woke up 5 hours later and wanted to kick myself for sleeping for so long. Not only did I lose 5 hours of valuable homework time, but I knew there would be no sleeping for me tonight. So I did what any other normal person would do--I had a cup of coffee and once again sat down to write the paper (at my desk this time.) That didn't work either. I kept getting side tracked. Then Jeanette decided she was going to bed so I moved out to the common room. Then the text message barrage began. I had about 5 people texting me at the same time. It was impossible to get anything done. So around 2 I actually began writing the paper. I have to compare and contrast the story of Electra as told by Aeschylus versus Euripides. Then I also have to write a critique of the film we watched in class. The critique was easy, I've already got that part done. Now I'm working on the compare/contrast part, and even though I know how easy this paper is, I can't focus on writing it. Of course, it's not like I'll be going to be anytime soon so I don't have to worry about that.
In more interesting news, I'm going to see Dane Cook this Sunday at Madison Square Gardens with Melissa. I'm SO excited!!! The only thing that stinks is that the stagehand strike is still going on. Melissa knows everyone at Jersey Boys, so she was going to see if we could watch the show from the tech box, but if they're still on strike we obviously can't do that. It's NYC though, I'm sure we'll find plenty to do!
Things are going well in general, I'm definitely ready for Thanksgiving vacation though. I'll probably use the time off to get ahead on my homework and reading and such since I don't have a car or job anymore. I can't wait to go home! I love holidays :-)
I should really finish this paper now. Good night...er, morning...
