Missing Summer

I decided that I miss my summer internship. I worked with great people and I miss all the fun we had all the time. I like being at school and everything, but I'm so ready to graduate and just get out there and do what I love. Everyone keeps telling me to enjoy college while I can, but seriously I've been here for two years, nothing new is going to happen here. My life is static. I want to be out in "the real world" already. My job is one of the most fun there is and is always in demand. Classes are boring, I don't enjoy my English ones at all anymore and have decided to drop English to a minor. I know I'm not going to leave school before I graduate, but honestly if I had wanted to I could have graduated the end of this year rather than next. Oh well, guess I'll just do my time and look forward to next summer's internship. I want to get out of the area for this one though, maybe out of the northeast all together. Only the second week of school and already I'm planning for next summer, how sad is that?

Most of my classes are going well. I'm taking Intro to Theatre (new class that fulfills an old requirement aka easy A) Stage Lighting, Play Analysis, The Greek Dramatists, and Composition315. The theatre classes I don't mind, they fun and easy. Greek Drama is technically an English course, but it's basically another Play Analysis course and there are only 10 people in it. It's also a seminar so it's not bad. Comp is hard though. I hate studying rhetoric. There are only 6 people in the class which I like, but the readings are so dry and boring and the writing is hard for me (that's new). I signed into it hoping to improve my writing so I suppose I'll have to do some brain work. Doesn't mean I have to enjoy it though.
Mask and Hammer is going well so far. I'm still lost as to what the heck I'm doing as treasurer but I'm getting through it. I'm meeting with the old treasurer tomorrow morning so she'll be helpful. Our advisor is pretty good about helping me too. The getting to know you events are this weekend. We have a party (non club affiliated, but all of us getting together and getting the new kids wasted) and then a picnic on Saturday afternoon, which the faculty also comes to and we all recover from our hangovers. I'm bringing my kite :-)

Guess that's all. I'll go back to Ugly Betty now. I think I'm becoming addicted after only one episode lol.
Thoughts and prayers go out to the Wright's :-*
