Randomness
I'm kind of slacking with the blogging lately, but oh well it jsut shows I actually have a life here in Oneonta as opposed to sitting in my room in Buffalo all the time. I still love it here. I met a lot more of the theatre people last weekend and at the Mask & Hammer meeting on Monday. They're a fun bunch. Two members were initiated as voting meembers of the club and to do that they leave the room and people tell funny stories about them and then they put some of them together and make the person perform something in front of the whole group. It was hilarious, one kid basically had to do a tribal dance and sing (not in English) the story of how he got his nickname. I've never laughed so hard! The other kid had to hit on every guy in the room while singing in harmony and the only way he could move around was by dancing ballet. Oh and he has a thing for no clothes so he had to do it shirtless...and he was wearing a cowboy hat too and that made it that much better! lol it was great!
As sad as it is, I've already solidified my spot as "one of the guys" in the suite next door by playing Halo. Yeah, I'm cool like that lol. I'm absolutely terrible at the game but I had fun anyway (even if people were always stealing my kills)
Classes are still going well for the most part. I hate my math class. We had our first test today and I'm pretty sure I passed, though just barely. I hate math. All my other classes are great though. I love my lit classes now that we're actually discussing good books (FRANKENSTEIN and THE AWAKENING- both of which I hated in high school but really enojoy now). Fencing is difficult, but fun. The instructor likes to hit me in the face with his foil (don't worry I have a mask on) if I don't do what he tells me to lol. It's ok though because I think I'm actually improving but I'm still hesitating. Stagecraft is still awesome. I had to sand a coffeee table down this week so it can be refinished, but I really didn't mind doing it...until I couldn't use the palm sander anymore and had to sand the legs manually.
And on a completely random note, I have even more reason to support my dislike of most girls. The latest trend for them seems to be to burn my friends. A few guys I know have recently been lead on by a girl who had no intention of following through but still continued to make the guy beleive something was there. So basically these really sweet guys are eating out of the palms of monsters and it pissed me off. It's one thing to flirt and a completely different thing to make someone beleive a lie. What's worse is that they all come to me either asking how to get the girl or else they just complain. Obviously I don't mind helping a friend out in this kind of situation, but seriously, girls really piss me off! UGH! Why can't we all just get along? Why do people thrive on drama???
