Little Shop of Horrors
Last night Ashlee and I went to see Little Shop of Horrors at Shea's Theatre. It was amazing! Not just the show, but the whole night. Since I don't have a car here and since she doesn't even have a lisence we had to take the bus downtown. We actually managed to get on the right bus at the right time and everything. Not only that but we had to walk a few blocks this way and that way and every other whichway, and again we didn't get lost! We found the theatre with lots of time to spare, so we decided dessert at a little restaurant across the street would be a good idea, and it really was! We had seats in almost the very last row in the highest tier of the balcony, but Ididn't care. The way that Shea's is set up it's better to be in the balcony than in the orchestra. The view is better. The show itself was incredible and absolutely hilarious! I loved it. The guy who played the dentist was a little off, but he wasn't terrible. On the way back we had to walk a little farther to a different bus stop and wait for about 25 minutes. That was kind of creepy, especially when a sketchy thug-type walked over and started talking to/hitting on us (he was waiting for the bus too not just randomly harrassing us). Strangely enough though, I've become accustomed to his type and all the other sketchballs that ride the bus, so it didn't really phase me. So that was my "pretend birthday" as Ashlee called it and I had a great time! We're getting season tickets for next year. I'll definately come back to visit and see Rent, Mama Mia!, Spam-a-lot, and any of the other shows they have coming through!
